Last night, Brandon woke me up in the middle of the night and asked if I wanted to watch the rocket launch. He added “It’ll launch in 10 mins, you want me to wake you up?”, my half-asleep self responded “yes”. Roughly 10 mins later we saw this beautiful rocket fly right over our backyard. It was so magical! ✨

I grew up in Camarines Sur, one of the areas in the Philippines where typhoons come every year, and my experience with Hurricane Milton is the one I will never forget. 😵💫
Last Thursday, Brandon woke me up in the middle of the night with winds gusting at 76 mph (the strongest compared to other areas of central and eastern Florida when I checked) and random loud bangs around us that I thought for sure were tornadoes just right outside our home. The anxiety was on another level! We’ve had to deal with some damage in the last few days, but we’re very fortunate that it’s all fixable. I’ll gladly take what we’ve had to deal with due to the storm since we know that not all of us in FL were as fortunate. I have friends who lost a family member and a lot of homes are still submerged to this day. It’s unfortunate. 😔
Despite this, I have to mention, that it’s amazing how everyone from other parts of the country is sending help and aid to Floridians nonstop! Bless all your hearts! 🙏🏽

Whenever he comes to town on vacation he’s always down to help us with home improvement projects, whenever I call to ask about car problems or if I just need some advice he’s always got an answer. Hardest working man I’ve ever known and never complains. I like to think I got my work ethic, love for motorcycles and sense of humor from him. Didn’t realize how lucky I was for my childhood and having him for a dad until way into adulthood. So much respect for that dude. His 60th birthday is coming up on the 14th. Happy early birthday, love you Pops! 🍻
